Metro Manila

Metropolitan Manila, formally the National Capital Region (NCR) is the capital region and largest metropolitan area of the Philippines. It is composed of sixteen highly urbanized cities: the capital city, Manila, Caloocan, Las Piñas, Makati, Malabon, Mandaluyong, Marikina, Muntinlupa, Navotas, Parañaque, Pasay, Pasig, Quezon City, San Juan, Taguig, and Valenzuela.

Besides the airport in Pasay, most of our time together after you arrive will be in Makati.

Weather

Manila weather generally comes in 2 distinct seasons. It’s dry from December to May and wet from June to November. Daily high temperatures in May range from 91°F to 93°F, rarely falling below 86°F or exceeding 96°F. Daily low temperatures are around 80°F, rarely falling below 77°F or exceeding 83°F.

In Manila, the chance of a wet day over the course of May is very rapidly increasing, starting the month at 24% and ending it at 48%.

The tropical monsoon climate in a big city does make for quite a humid and environment. Even so, as Manila is located close to the sea, it gets a nice sea breeze to help take the edge off the high temperatures and high humidity. Be sure to pack lightweight, breathable clothes, particularly for this case in between seasons.

Tagaytay

Tagaytay, officially called the City of Tagaytay, is a component city in the Cavite province of the Philippines. Tagaytay is one of the most frequented places in the south because of its outstanding scenery. Given the high altitude, the climate is cool comparatively to Manila and also makes the most of several vantage points of the Taal volcano and Taal Lake.

Weather

Tagaytay is known for its cool, pleasant climate. Temperatures range from 20°C to 28°C (68°F to 82°F) year-round, with the coolest months typically from November to February.

Dry Season (November to May): With sunny days and minimal rainfall.
